The Ultimate Classroom Management Tool

Set your pupils up for success as you begin the school year with clear classroom expectations to help with classroom management with this set of visual cue posters.

The cues included in this resource are:

  1. Stop and listen.
  2. Look and listen.
  3. Time to clean up.
  4. Reminding pupils to raise their hand to talk.
  5. Lining up quietly.
  6. It’s time to share with your partner.

How to Make the Most of Your Behaviour Visual Cue Poster

Cut out each visual cue sign and glue or tape it onto jumbo craft sticks. Raise these visual cue signs when a specific behaviour is desired. Take time to use the posters and signs first to teach pupils and practise expectations before implementing.

Visual cues help pupils connect a behaviour with an image. Take time to model, practise, and use the visual cue to demonstrate a specific behaviour. Allow the pupils to say in their own words what they see on each visual cue and demonstrate it either through action without words or by explaining with words what is expected.
